The Cities Consortium resource center is envisaged to be a repository of information and materials pertinent to building Uganda’s cities along the ideals of the New Urban Agenda. It will collect and organize verifiable and researched information on urban and city pertinent issues. It will be both physical and online. The centre will provide to the government urban managers, planners, elected officials, Civil Society, international development partners and the general public with access to statistical data and information on cities and city development.

The resource centre will collect, publish and disseminate information on Uganda cities. This shall include research, case studies, surveys, opportunities, gaps and challenges to developing Uganda cities in the desired manner.

However, Cities Consortium cannot work in isolation on this aspect. We therefore, welcome government, international development partners, urban planners, city managers, academicians, environmentalists, urban experts and the private sector to partner with us to develop a data and information research centre that will support the development of Uganda’s cities.
