Licentiate Ahmed Kaweesi is a leading figure in digital transformation and the Chief Executive Officer of Cities Consortium, a non-governmental organization that supports and facilitates the development of well planned, equitable, inclusive, resilient and sustainable cities in Kampala, Uganda. With a visionary approach to technology and business, Ahmed is committed to revolutionizing how cities and urban areas in Uganda grow into recliate, equitable and smart cities.
Ahmed is a candidate of Philosophy in Digital Transformation. His academic and professional training includes participation in the Germany Alumni Transfer Project at East African Polytechnic College Kyambogo (EAPCK) and research involvement under the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), with supervision from the Kyambogo Research Institute in collaboration with GIZ. His research examined the impact of digital transformation on personnel and organizational development.
He holds a Licentiate Award in Digital Transformation from the Inter Profession Association Organization at EAPCK, highlighting his expertise and substantial contributions to the field. Under Ahmed’s leadership, Cities Consortium is advancing the growth of smart , inclusive and sustainable cities for all in Uganda.
